Plan, install, commission Swing stage scaffold.

This course covers the functions required to erect, install, alter and dismantle swing stage scaffolds to meet the minimum formal training and assessment standards for the purposes of verification through Workplace Health and Safety Queensland.

It is expected that competent participants should be able to:

•   WHS legislative duties.
•   Plan work
•   Select and inspect scaffolding and associated equipment
•   Set up swing stage scaffold
•   Install and commission swing stage scaffold
•   Dismantle swing stage scaffold

Entry Requirements

Participants must:

•   have at least an intermediate level of numeracy, literacy and communication skills.
•   Hold a licence to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding at an advance level or the licence to perform rigging work at an advance level.
•   Not to have any physical disabilities which could impair the safe erection, alteration or dismantling of a swing stage scaffold or endanger the safety of others.
•   Be proficient at working at heights.

Delivery

This course is delivered over 2 days using a combination of face-to-face classroom and practical activity sessions. 7.00am - 3.00pm

Class size: 8 students

Upon successful completion of all assessments (theory and practical) associated with this course, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment in completion of Installing, altering and dismantling a Swing Stage Scaffold.
